The Gothic Card does more than just display your bright smile, name, and your ID number. Let’s start with what you can do with them on campus. Your Gothic Card provides you with residential housing access privileges and meal plan distribution as well as building/labs/ and events access!
Here is where things get exciting. When you download the “GET APP”, you can use your Gothic Card like a debit card! That’s right, you can add funds to use in places such as the vending machines on campus, make campus bookstore purchases (with anticipated Financial/Grant/Scholarship Aid funds), the on-campus Dunkin Donuts, Cafeteria in GSUB, the JBJ Soul Kitchen (which you should visit if you’re in the mood for a tasty bite), Snack Lounge located in the Professional Studies Building and for the commuters: DISCOUNTED pricing on parking services with your Gothic Card Flex account!
But hold on, the benefits do not just end there! Did you know that you can also use them OFF CAMPUS as well? That’s right, New Jersey City University works with vendors within walking distance from the main campus to ensure that you can use your Gothic Cards! Locations such as El Sol De Caribe, Five Guys, Bill’s Food Truck, Blimpie, Great Steak, Cold Stone Creamery, QDOBA, Little M Bubble Tea House, Miss America Diner, and 7 Heaven are all locations that accept Gothic Cards! It’s perfect for when you want to dine at nearby restaurants if you’re feeling fancy.
Another thing you should note is that New Jersey City University has a partnership with GRUBHUB! By scanning the QR Code on the
attached flyer (GothicCardMerchantFlyer_April_2024), you can use your Gothic Flex Funds on your GRUBHUB orders!
Another way to do it is as follows:
- Make sure the GET Mobile app is installed and login
- Open the GRUBHUB app, go to the “Campus Dining Module”
- Add your GothicNet/NJCU credentials. Doing so connects the Gothic Card ID Flex account to GRUBHUB
- Enjoy!
