On April 8th, the sounds of soulful sax, smooth vocals, and rich instrumentals filled the air at NJCU as Gothic Knight Productions and PIII (People, Performance, and Production) hosted a captivating, live-taped Tiny Desk Concert. The event, nestled into the cozy, eclectic set resembling NPR’s famed performance series, featured a show-stopping performance by Trinity and her band.
Held in NJCU’s Media Arts TV studio, the room was transformed into an intimate creative haven. Bookshelves adorned with curios, soft lighting, and a disco ball adding to the room’s whimsical atmosphere. Trinity (vocalist) and Vice President of PIII, brought the room to life with her compelling voice and presence, performing her Unreleased EP live, and featuring her latest song Try Love Again in their set.
Accompanied by her talented band members and musicians—Paul Ramlochan (drums), Kevin Du (keys), Sam Levine (guitar), Allen Destine (bass guitar), Griffin Ross (sax), and BK Rucci (rapper).
The concert was not just about music; it was a celebration of collaboration and artistry. PIII, standing for “People, Performance, and Production,” embodied this spirit fully.
Each band member brought their unique touch, resulting in a soundscape both personal and polished. Behind the scenes, both clubs—Gothic Knight Productions and PIII captured every moment with professionalism and heart. Our seamless work in these clubs organizing and filming the event gave both performers and attendees a platform to shine and to enjoy.
The setlist was a masterful blend of original compositions and cleverly reimagined covers, showcasing the band’s impressive musical range and technical skill. From the opening notes, it was clear that Trinity and her band were not just performing – they were sharing a piece of themselves with the audience. The music was a reflection of their experiences, hopes, and fears, and the crowd was deeply invested in the journey.
This performance wasn’t just another student event—it was a vibrant example of NJCU’s thriving creative community and the magic that happens when passion meets production.
One of the standout aspects of the concert was the sense of community that filled the room. The Gothic Knight Productions Film Club and PIII had created a warm and welcoming space, where attendees felt comfortable and encouraged to engage in the music, inside and outside the studio. The event was also a testament to the power of art to bring people together and foster a sense of belonging.
For those who missed the live experience, keep an eye out—both Gothic Knight Productions and PIII promise to bring more unforgettable events and performances to campus.
