A Goodbye and Thank You from Jim Behrle
December 28, 2017
Hello, NJCU Community,
When people would come into the bookstore and ask me how I was doing I’d tell them I was “living the dream!” My almost four years here at NJCU have been a dream. They’ve been the most rewarding of my 30 year life in bookstores (so far). I just wanted to take a moment to thank you, as a community, for making me feel like I belonged here.
I’m leaving the NJCU Bookstore for a different career opportunity. It’s been really hard for me to say goodbye to the people that work here and the students. This is one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. And serving this community has meant the world to me. Thank you to the students, the staff and the faculty. You guys are the best.
From the people who clean the buildings all the way up to Dr. Sue, NJCU is a special place because of you! I hope I find another community as warm and generous as this. But it may not be possible. If I get a chance to come back here in my professional life (or as a student myself) I will jump at the chance. Meanwhile I hope to come back and visit when I can. Even if it’s just to get a sandwich at one of the trucks. Thanks, again! Always remember to live your dream!
