Elaine Gargiulo welcomed everyone before the National Anthem was performed by NJCU Woodwind Ensemble, led by Joseph D’Auguste.

Among the speakers were Dr. Henderson, NJCU President and Patrick Bolye, Former Director/Chief of the Bayonne FD, NJCU Chairperson, Fire Science, US Navy Veteran. Robert Anthony, USMC, JCFD, NJCU Alumni;  Matthew Costello, USAR, JFCD, NJCU Student; Sheriff Detective Tori Carter, Hudson County Sherriff’s office; Giovanni Pecorelli, USAR Veteran, NJCU Student; Simran Ayer, NJ Army National Guard, NJCU Student; Michael Cordero, NJ Army National Guard, NJCU Student; and Bryan Periera, NJ Army National Guard, NJCU Student were all present.
