An Eventful SGA Meeting

On February 10th, the Student Government Association (SGA) discussed many topics and events such as the State of the SGA Address planned for April 13th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the GSUB Lobby.
The School of Business is getting its own committee to help manage and discuss issues.
Vice President Sunky Chang talked about applications for the senior class e-board. Those who are elected into the e-board will be getting a stipend. If interested, reach out to Sunky Chang. Applications to become Associate Justice closed on Feb. 18th.
The Vice President of Financial Administration, Marcus Daniels, gave a budget update in which the SGA Account has more than $1.3 million to be given to NJCU clubs, organizations, projects, and salaries.
The Finance committee will now be joining the Student Organization Officers (SOO) meetings and the next date for these meetings.
The Vice President of Public Relations, Ebony Drew, spoke about senior portraits and while dates are not finalized, it will take place during a week in March and April.
The New SGA Advisor was announced as Ashley Lemon.
The President of the Student Activities Board (SAB) Andrew Moreno announced the first SAB Journal Body Meeting for the semester on February 20th from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in MPR A.
The Vice President of Internal Affairs Richard Salmeron, announced a travel plan in order to give commuters financial help such as Uber gift cards. This includes anyone who travels between home, campus, and or business school.
The lactation station, a place for mothers to breastfeed their children comfortably, will be opening this week on the third floor of GSUB.
Public safety event payment concerns about not knowing the costs ahead of time have been discussed between the students and the Department of Public Safety.
An event called The history of medical practices and political bondage run by Keion-Mekhi Jackson and Nevin Perkins and co-funded by the Black Alumni, Administrators, Faculty, Students, and Staff Organization (BAAFSSO), is taking place on March 7th at the Grossnickle lecture hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Vice President of Carribean Students Association (CSA) mentioned that they have CSA meetings from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at GSUB 129. A Safe Zone Ally meeting will take place on February 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at GSUB 317.
