As comedian Katt Williams said when it comes to being single, “We always act like we the sh*t. And we are. We really are!”
Single people need to stop complaining and looking for “the one.” Enjoy the perks of not having to be in a relationship.
If you are single, you can go out with anyone you want. This isn’t to say when you are in a relationship you aren’t allowed to. However, some people disregard their friends when they do have a significant other.
You can go out and have a wild night without having to check in with anyone or get chewed out because you forgot to text/call that significant other back.
Say goodbye to your ex’s annoying, loser friends. Remember those frustrating outings where you would have rather swallow glass than hear another stupid joke from your ex’s idiot friends?
Being single means you can hang out with people who don’t irritate you. If you meet someone new you aren’t obligated to get along with them or ever see them again.
Monogamy is usually the common interest in any relationship. Who wants to have the same chicken dinner every night? If you’re not committed to anyone, you are in free range to sleep with anyone without having to do the courtesy call.
Flirting is in the same group. Some relationships are open to flirting while others are not. Nothing is better than guilt free flirting with someone hot and new.
When you’re in a relationship for so long you can gain what some call “happy weight.” “Happy weight” doesn’t always make you happy. In other words, you let yourself go.
In the single life you can focus on who’s important – you. You have the time and motivation to take care of yourself and keep in shape. Eating whatever you want without needing to ask the polite question, “What would you like to eat, dear?”
Speaking from experience, if they constantly want fast food, chances are you will be gaining that happy weight fast.
One of the best things about being single is the simple fact that any plans you want to achieve, you have the power to achieve.
You don’t have to worry about someone else not fitting into them. You can successfully aim for your goals without double guessing yourself. If you want to get up and move across the country, go crazy because you can. No compromising needed.
Before you start envying your couple friends, just remember these simple perks: you can go anywhere you want, you can sleep with whomever you want, you don’t have to put up with lame people, you can keep your figure, and the main character in your game plan is you. Single people, remember, we are the sh*t!
