On April 8, 2012, The Coach USA’s Red and Tan Tour’s number 10 bus will be replaced by New Jersey (NJ) Transit.
A press release by NJ Transit stated that they will restore the bus service with no interruption and will operate on the same route with the same locations. The press release also contained details of how the bus will operate:
- Inbound service to Journal Square and outbound service to Bayonne from 4:30 a.m. To 9 a.m. will operate every 7 to 15 minutes. The route will also operate buses every 7 to 15 minutes from 2 p.m. To 7:30 p.m.
- Between 9 a.m. and and 2 p.m. and after 10 p.m. the bus will operate every 20 minutes.
- During the hours from 12:00 a.m. until 3:30 a.m., the service will operate every 60 minutes to two hours.
- The number 10 bus will depart from platform D-1 in Journal Square. After 11:01 p.m. to 4:29 a.m., the bus will depart from platform B-1.
