Dear Campus Community,
We here at The Gothic Times would like to wish you all a happy return to campus. For those of you arriving on campus for the first time, we would like to welcome you to NJCU and hope to aide you in your new found excitement for college.
The Gothic Times is the official student newspaper of NJCU. We are the voice of the campus and the journal of record for anything NJCU.
I am honored and privileged to be named the newest editor-in-chief of The Gothic Times.
I have been writing for The Gothic Times for over two years now and have been able to interact with many of the dynamic students who have helped make NJCU a truly special place. I have been published in over 13 issues of The Gothic Times and have countless articles under my belt.
Writing for The Gothic Times has been one of the most fulfilling and fun things I could have never imagined happening. It gives you a real sense of pride when you write about the amazing, talented, dedicated and outstanding students here on campus. It’s even better when that writing is read by over 9,000 people online and in print.
We are always looking for new writers, photographers and artists. Our door is always open and your e-mails will always be answered.
Along with my Managing Editor, Edgar Rivas, we would like to take this opportunity to invite anyone interested in joining our staff to come to our next meeting on September 10, 2012 at 3 p.m. in GSUB 301.
We hope everyone starts off the semester on the right foot, studies hard, and parties.
We look forward to covering the campus this semester, maybe we’ll even to run into you.
Feel free to e-mail us at [email protected] or call 201-200-3575 if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or story ideas.
Best of luck to you in your classes.
Sincerely,
Monir Khilla
Editor-in-Chief
