JC Fridays, sponsored by Arthouse Productions, is a celebration of the arts held throughout Jersey City. It happens only four times a year, making this a great all-day event for Jersey City residents and newbies alike. If you’re looking for something to do this Friday in Jersey City, this is it. You can either download the JC Fridays application or brochure on their site, jcfridays.com, or pick up a brochure at the Visual Arts Building to have a list of all the events happening throughout the entire day.
The free events range from musical performances to art galleries with a lot of free food in between. So, there’s no reason not to go!
If you do need any more incentives to go, NJCU Alumni Mollie Thonneson, former BFA Painting/Drawing major, and NJCU student Leona Strassberg, BFA Photography major, are collaborating on a show called “Beyond the Garden” as part of JC Fridays. This exhibition features photography and paintings using the image of gardens to explore deeper concepts.
Want to know more? Go check it out! Plus, supporting fellow NJCU students is never a bad idea. See you there!
