New Jersey City University‘s “Alumni Day 2014” on Sunday, May 4 will feature a day-long series of campus programs, including campus and Jersey City tours, an All-Class Luncheon Celebration, a Spring Choral Concert, and reception, 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. All alumni are welcome.
Honored Classes for 2014 are those celebrating milestone anniversaries, 1964, 1974, 1984, 1989, 1994, and 2004, as well as all NJCU Golden Gothics, those who graduated 1930-1964, 50 or more years ago.
NJCU “Alumni Day 2014” schedule events will include:
- 9-10 a.m. – Welcome Breakfast.
- 10-11 a.m. – Free campus tours will visit NJCU buildings and facilities.
- 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m. – A free bus tour of historic and architectural sites in Jersey City will be led by Dr. Timothy White, an NJCU assistant professor of history.
- 12:45-2:45 p.m. – Class of 1964 Celebration and All-Class Luncheon. All alumni are invited to help the Class of 1964 celebrate its 50th anniversary. Meet NJCU’s President Sue Henderson and learn about her vision for the University. Enjoy delicious fare and melodies of yesterday and today. Tickets are $30 per person.
- 3-4:30 p.m. – Spring Choral Concert. Performed by students from the Caroline L. Guarini Department of Music, Dance and Theatre. The Concert will include a variety of music for choirs, with something for every musical taste.
- 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. — Closing Reception.
