NJCU Baseball challenged Wesley College on April 3. The Gothic Knights collected 11 hits, 11 runs and one error. Winning pitcher of the game Nate Facey earned seven groundouts (GO), one strikeout (SO) and five earned runs (ER). Nick LoGatto, Dan Berardi, Lenin Gomez and Jan Castellano were game leaders in hitting while Nate Facey and Kyle McKabe were game leaders in pitching. Not only did Castellano earn two hits (H) and one run (R), he prevented two Wesley baserunners from advancing with his impressive arm as a catcher.

The Gothic Knights unleashed three runs at the top of the first. Berardi walked which earned him an RBI and allowed Tom Pulcine to score. Juan Pena flied out to right field which allowed for LoGatto to score. Berardi stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error. In the second, Pulcine flied out to center field which permitted Jesse Kraft to score.

The team cashed in another three runs in the fourth when LoGatto singled and Mike Ramirez scored. Bill Feehan flied out to right field and Kraft scored. Berardi singled to the left and Castellano scored.

NJCU fired three more runs and maintained a six-point lead in the sixth. Pena doubled which permitted Feehan to score. Mike Ramirez flied out which permitted Gomez to score. Kraft stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error which allowed Pena to score. The game ended in the sixth and the Gothic Knights collected a win 11-5.
