#NJCUBB Topples to Montclair in Second Meetup for the NJAC

NJCU Baseball challenged Montclair State University on April 22 for a New Jersey Athletic Conference makeup game from April 19. The team is currently 17-15 for the overall season and 5-9 in the NJAC.

The Gothic Knights collected three runs, eight hits and one error.

Anthony Carfora threw a total of 24 pitches and lasted two-thirds of an inning. He collected one earned run, two walks, two strikeouts and zero groundouts.

In the third, Dan Berardi singled through the left side and later advanced to second on the throw from there Juan Pena scored. The Gothic Knights has one player left on base by the end of the inning.

Berardi returned in the eighth with a walk and advanced to second on the error. Pena advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a throwing error. Immediately after Mike Ramirez singled to right field and advanced to on the throw which allowed Berardi to score. The Gothic Knight loss 3-4.
