NJCU Men’s Soccer Open the Season with a Double Win

NJCU Men’s soccer kicked off their season with two wins against College of Mount Saint Vincent on August 31 and Hunter College on September 2.

The team faced College of Mount Saint Vincent for their season opener. Within 20 minutes of the first half, Theo Sanoh scored two goals while Mike Almeida unleashed an incredible header. In the second half, Sanoh returned and scored the final goal. NJCU cashed in their first hat trick of the season. The men maintained a 4-0 shutout.

In a close game against Hunter College, NJCU managed to stay aggressive by forcing a few turnovers. Edric De Paula scored the only goal of the game within 14 minutes of the first half. The team had three saves with only three shots on goal and maintained a 1-0 shutout.
