#NJCUMBB Suffer Loss in NJAC Championship

The Gothic Knights were given home court advantage in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) semifinals on February 19. After defeating Ramapo 66-57, the team advanced to the championship. NJCU hosted Rowan University for the NJAC Championship on February 22.

With less than 10 seconds remaining, the score was deadlocked at 77-77 until Rowan took the lead with a three-pointer. In attempts to redeem themselves, NJCU opted for a timeout during the critical time. There was 2.8 seconds left, Shaquan Worthy attempted score to tie the game but missed his chance. The final score remained at 80-77. No. 2 seed Rowan took home the title of NJAC Champions.  

In the overall season, NJCU has won 20 games and lost 7 games. The 7 losses were away games however this was the first loss at home. Despite the loss, the team could possibly receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
