It is spring and colors are sporadically changing. Spring 2014 trends are pastel colors, mid-range boots, scarfs, leggings, bright color tops, stylish caps, jean Capri’s and black framed glasses.
For those that love accessories, mid-rings are in, and so are hair pins, necklaces, hoop earrings and pearls; it’s a simple but classy look.
Thin sweaters, linen pants, skirts, knee highs with a nice pair of jean shorts, skinny jeans, hats, shades, belly shirts, edgy leather and jean jackets and/or cardigans are also trending.
The NJCU campus community is inclined with its fashionable sense.
Evans Severe, 23, media arts major said, “The spring trends are definitely changing this year. People seem to be wearing fewer layers as the weather is trying to break. Summer is right around the corner, so everyone is trying to stay warm while [they] also remain up to date [and] fashionable.”
Pastel colors are in. Many are found sporting fashion in lime green, emerald, red, peach, nude, orange, violet, yellow, black, white and different shades of blue. Dark colors are also perfect for the spring being that they help keep the body warm due to the inconsistent temperatures.
Spring is a very trendy season that allows people to be spontaneous and different. Black is a little on the dark side, but is another color that will always be in style. If you like wearing black, you are in the safe zone. As a compliment to black, biker boots are currently in style for both men and women. You can wear them with leggings and a simple top, a skirt, a dress, or with jeans for a casual look. Unless you have a bike as an accessory, biker boots may fade out of style once summer hits.
Thankfully for most young men, V-Necks, cargo pants, H&M skinny jeans, Vans, Timberlands and Jordan’s are still in style this season. For the spenders, there’s always Gucci, Prada and Polo’s.
As for women, wedge heels, biker boots, heels, animal print flats and of course, Uggs, still remain popular.
Pregnant Women, don’t think that you are excluded one bit! There are many cute maternity outfits that are trending: loose sundresses, casual flats, loose shawls, button-ups, and even leggings-to-comfortable leather sweat pants.
Flowers are a big trend this season as well. Men are rocking casual thin sweaters with shirts and pink roses all over.
Professional attire is another realm that will never go out of style. Men are wearing suits, but being very versatile with their ties and socks. Some prefer more intense colors such as black, red, navy blue, orange or brown.
If you are a sneaker person, Footlocker has custom unique color sneakers, such as the multi-green Nike Air Max’s, Adidas and the new KD’s.
Fashion is everything, so embrace it. It’s time to mix and match this spring. Remember, style is simple; you don’t need too much to create your own image.
