No Confidence in NJCU President Sue Henderson

The University Senate meeting concluded today with a majority of votes in favor of having no confidence in president Sue Henderson.

Thirty senators voted yes, while 23 voted no.

The motion for a vote of no confidence for Henderson was first brought up at the May Senate meeting but was tabled until today.

During the meeting, many senators, faculty, and students voiced their thoughts on everything related to NJCU from the “confusing” finances, to tuition increases, expensive apartments being constructed on West Campus, a “lack of transparency,” and more. Some argued in support of Henderson and that she is not solely responsible for the university’s current challenges.
