#NJCUMBB Generate Four Wins and Fall to No. 24

Men’s basketball started their 2018-19 season on a good note after being ranked No. 16 nationally by D3Hoops.com however the team fell to No. 24 in the regular season poll. After a successful 2017-18 season, the Gothic Knights went 19-8 overall with a winning percentage of .704. This season, the team is 4-1 overall and 1-0 for the conference.

The team suffered a loss in their season opener against Stevens Institute on November 13. Stevens pulled off a four-point lead and left the score at 72-76. The last time the two teams met was on November 15 and NJCU had home court advantage and won 77-73.

NJCU participated in the Eastern Mennonite Conference on November 16 and 17. Their competitors were Eastern Mennonite University and Bridgewater College. Things were looking up when the team cashed in two wins during the conference.  

The team faced their first NJAC competitor Kean University on November 20. The Gothic Knights secured a 25 point lead by the end of the second quarter and left the final score at 92-67. Following their epic performance, NJCU went on to collect their fourth win on November 24 when they faced Farmingdale State College.
